Welcome to Movie Monday. Each Week I'm going to talk about movies I've seen or would like to see.
Todays Movie is: Final Destination. If you're not familiar with it, the premise is if you cheat death, it'll its find any way possible to snuff you out. Example: The 1st movie is set on an airplane. A bunch of students are traveling to Paris .One of the passengers has a premonition that the airplane is going to explode. He causes a commotion which involves several of his classmates. They get taken of the airplane. Moments later as the airplane is in the air, it explodes. One by one, the surviving people start to die in gruesome ways.
In the 2nd movie there is an iconic scene of a semi truck loaded with poorly secured lumber is one a freeway. A car is behind it. All of a sudden, one of the logs comes flying out and...well, its not good for the person in the car. If you do some research on line, you can read about how paranoid people are after watching that scene that if a truck with any sort of projectile is ahead of them, they change lanes. Hubby and i have done this. Better safe than sorry.
If you're not into gory movies, this one might not be for you. Plenty of people get killed in some scary ways that aren't for the faint of heart. In the 5th movie, there is a scene with a woman sitting in a operating room waiting to get laser eye surgery. Needless to say, it doesn't end well. I can watch the scene because i hate anything touching eyeballs and the eyeball is definitely touched in the worst way.
I can't wait to see the 6th one and find out what other fascinating ways they've created to kill people. Yep, I need help. LOL
